Kitchen and bath locations are wet environments with intensive cleaning and disinfection requirements. Current cleaning approaches largely use detergents and chemicals that are intermittent, prone to human error and poor for the environment.
Disinfection of incoming water for drinking and bathing can be accomplished with RayVio ultraviolet (UV) LEDs at the end use location like the faucet or in line with plumbing. While many communities already chlorinate water with chemicals at the processing plant, recontamination can take place anywhere along the downstream transport. New systems can be designed that aid in the disinfection of food preparation surfaces and tools.
